Welcome to the blog of the Durham University Auckland Castle excavations, a collaborative archaeological project between the Department of Archaeology at Durham University and The Auckland Project.

Between June 10th - 28th 2019 we are excavating the north terrace at Auckland Castle, building on the work conducted last year excavating the gardens.
